This Privacy Policy explains how uVidNova ("uVidNova", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the uVidNova application and website at https://uvidnova.netlify.app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Usage data. We automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, browser, general usage activity, and log data — to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage metrics and improve the Service. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, session duration, and general geographic region. This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. You may opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Feedback form data. If you choose to submit feedback, we collect your name and email address, and the content of your message. This is submitted voluntarily and used solely to respond to your feedback.

AI chat inputs. The "Ask AI" feature allows you to submit free-form questions about reconstruction data. Messages you send are passed to our AI providers (see below) to generate responses. Do not include personal or sensitive information in chat queries.

How we use your information

We use collected information to:

• provide and maintain the Service;
• respond to feedback you submit;
• generate AI-assisted responses to your questions about reconstruction data;
• analyse and improve features, performance, and security.

We do not use your information for advertising and do not sell it to third parties.

AI-generated content

uVidNova uses third-party artificial intelligence services to power the "Ask AI" chat feature and asset narration. Questions and inputs you provide for these features are sent to the providers listed below solely to generate results for you:

• Groq — powers the interactive AI chat. See the Groq Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic — used for server-side asset narration. See the Anthropic Privacy Policy.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. AI queries are executed server-side; your interactions with Anthropic/Groq are not accessible to other users.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service:

• Netlify — hosting, form processing, and serverless functions. Netlify Privacy Policy.

• Groq — AI chat output. Groq Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic — AI narration. Anthropic Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate or legal purposes. Data submitted via the feedback form is retained by Netlify according to their data retention policy. Analytics data is retained in line with Google Analytics default retention settings.

Your rights

Cookies and local storage

The Service uses browser local storage and session storage to remember your language preference and whether you have already seen the disclaimer — uVidNova itself does not set tracking cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies for analytics purposes.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption and security headers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

uVidNova is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age applicable in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where different data protection laws may apply. By using the Service, you consent to such processing.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
